SERVICE AND AMENITIES
 

Internet
The Université du Québec provides Internet access to residential users. This service is intended primarily for academic use, personal use is however tolerated within reasonable limits. In order to ensure the best possible service to all, this network (wired and wireless) is protected and monitored and the use of certain protocols and sites for movie or music downloads is blocked and / or monitored.

WIFI                                                                                                                                                                                                          
You will receive upon arrival a username and password that you must not communicate. In Ste-Hélène, you must use  Résidences or wpaRésidences network (the guide for the configuration is at the entrance of the building) and in Fleurie the network is Fleurie or wpaFleurie (the guide for the configuration is at the office 118).

Smart TV/ Printer / Game console
Cable service will not be renewed after August 2022. If you want it, you can take a membership with a specialized company. Use the outlet located in the living room and / or in your bedroom (except studios).

If you want to connect your smart TV or other WIFI device, you need to select the stvResidences or stvFleurie network.

Wired connection (strongly suggested for online reviews or better connection stability on Skype, Whatsapp, etc.)                                                           

You need to connect a network cable to your computer and to the identified Internet hole behind your room phone. this cable is not included.

Phone device
The telephone in your room is the property of the residences, you do not have to stick to anything or put anything on it. The replacement cost is $ 250.
You can make free local calls and receive them. To make long-distance or international calls, purchase a prepaid calling card and follow the instructions on the card.

Laundry
In the Fleurie Building, the laundry room is located on floor 0 in front of the elevator. At the Ste-Hélène Residences, the laundry room is on the first floor, near the rear exit of the building.  You can buy a smart card directly at the laundry, from the terminal. The cost is $ 6.00. You must load the laundry card of the desired amount directly to the terminal. The cost for each appliance use is $ 1.85 for washing and $ 1.95 for drying. The terminal accepts credit and debit cards. The minimum amount applicable on the card is $ 5.00. When you leave, please note that we cann't refund the balance on your card. An iron and ironing board are available at the laundry room and must be used on site.

Lockers
Storage spaces are available on the ground floor of Ste-Hélène and in the basement of Fleurie. If you need it, you must apply to the rental office. Use of these spaces is shared and availability is limited. It is free during the lease only (possibility of renting during the summer period for 50$ / month + taxes).

Postal mail
Postal mail is accessible on the ground floor of residences. Each apartment has a locker. One key per apartment will be given to you and you must report it at the end of your lease.The postal addresses of the residences are the following ones (it is very important that the number of the apartment be registered otherwise the mail will be returned to the sender by Canada Post):

If you receive a parcel from Canada Post, the postman will leave a key in your mailbox to pick up your parcel from the parcel box at the entrance of the residence. You can pick up your parcel and leave the key in the place indicated.
